About Me

Sam Garcia JR., is a native of New Haven Connecticut.  He has studied extensively in Miami, Florida at the Educating Hands School of Massage Therapy, where he graduated in the top 10 percentile of his class.  He is a nationally certified and licensed Massage Practitioner and Bodyworker in Washington.  He has been in private practice and have worked in high end Spas in the East and West coasts for over 12 years.  Sam is very passionate about his work.  His work affects clients on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Sam has had the wonderful opportunity to learn from many teachers over the years of practicing massage & bodywork. 

He has trained at the Raja Yoga Institute of Meditation in Miami Beach, Florida. 

Sam has received Reiki level I & II certification from Reiki Master teacher, Joanne Bibb and Reiki level III certification from Chic Katherman in Richmond, VA. 

Sam has trained in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by an amazing massage teacher Carla Ennes!  His training continued in European Hot Stone Massage, Healing Touch I in Richmond, VA. 

Sam became a Massage Therapy Instructor's assistant then part time Instructor of his own class at the American Institute of Massage for one year in Richmond, VA. There he learned so much in how to share his experience with the school's ciriculume. 

In 2005, Sam moved out to the great outdoors in Crested Butte, Colorado where has done a three month training in Transformational Neuromuscular Therapy and Transforming Trauma. 
He has extensive experience with clients that have terminal illnesses, torticolis (stiff neck), acute, chronic pain, traumatic physical and emotional injuries.  

He has done a specialty training for a caregiver mental health. And a revised Fundamentals of Caregiving.  He worked at a home for mental health patients as a caregiver.  

Sam has graduated from a 4 year intensive shamanic training  with an incredible teacher, Char Sundust in Seattle, WA.  He is now offering a 40% discount for shamanic bodywork for clients who feel called to this work.  Check the the shamanic practice page for a better understanding what shamanic bodywork is.

He continues to take workshops in presence meditations with teachers, Leonard Jacobson and Michael Sigmann.

Sam creates a safe and comfortable space for his clients and very much dedicated to the healing arts of Massage and Bodywork. He has been practicing since 1996.
